Built in 1886, this former church rectory was named in recognition of its past and of the village of Louisbourg's historical connection with the sea. Our second-floor suite and former master bedroom is named after its original occupant, Archdeacon Thomas Draper, who was instrumental in bringing national recognition to the ruins of Louisbourg's fortress.

A handsome building and village landmark set back from the street behind a white picket fence, Louisbourg Heritage House Bed & Breakfast is often photographed by passers-by. Our six generous-sized guest rooms are named after former residents and
each room has a private ensuite bath, lovely wood floors, a private balcony, and a very comfy queen or king bed.

We are located on Main Street in the very heart of the village. Park your car and leisurely stroll to the waterfront, the local
shops and restaurants, and the Louisbourg Playhouse, where traditional Island music and dance are performed every evening
from late June to mid-October. We are also a pleasant walk to Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site.
